Urad Dhal Chutney ~ SIL Renu

Urad dhal chutney is so healthy and perfect for idlis and dosas which i got from my MIL in which urad dhal  is the main ingredient which gives nice texture and flavor to the chutney.This is one of my favorite choice for idly.Here it is...

INGREDIENTS U NEED:
1.Urad dhal - 2tbs
2.Onion-1
3.Green chilly - 2
4.Mint leaves - 1/2bunch
5.Ginger - 1inch
6.Garlic -2cloves
7.Tomato - 1
8.Salt-as needed
9.Oil-2tbs

METHOD OF PREPARATION:
  • First  fry the urad dhal untill light brown and keep it aside
  • In a another pan add spoon of oil ,green chilly,onions saute it well
  • Then add mint,garlic,ginger fry it nicely
  • Add tomatoes,salt let it cook for 5mins and let it cool down for few mins
  • Then grind the fried items ,fried urad dhal and salt with little water 
  • Do the tempering with the mustard seeds and cumin and mix it well.

    GOES WELL WITH:
        Idly and Dosa
