INGREDIENTS U NEED:
1.Raw rice - 1/2cup2.Salt - a pinch
3.Water - 4cup
4.Ragi flour-11/2cup
UTENSIL:
Ragi stick or mathu
Heavy bottomed pan
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
- Boil water in a pot ,when the water starts to boil add rice and cook it untill rice is almost cooked(u can also use precooked rice)
- Then reduce the flame and add ragi flour and little salt mix once let it cook for 10mins (this has to little thick )do not keep on mixing
- Using heavy stick swirl all the contents into a ball and make sure that there is no lumps
- Keep the cold water handy in a cup (because the flour is so hot from the stove which makes it easy )then dip yours hands into the water and start making small balls out of the ragi flour as many as u want and arrange it in the plates and serve it hot.
GOES WELL WITH:
Chicken curry,Peanut chutney,Spinach curry(Thegora and Pulagora)
