Potato Bonda

Potato or aloo bonda is a typical south indian snack.They are made with a simple potato curry dipped in besan flour batter and deep fry in the oil. Everybody loves potato and there are so many varieties and dishes we can make with this vegetable like curry,fry,kurma etc.Its an yummy nutritious snack of vegetables liked by kids and all.They are usually served as a tea time snack which is very simple and easy to make and super tasty so here goes the receipe.....

INGREDIENTS U NEED :
1.Potato/Aloo - 2(boiled and mashed)
2.Green chilli-  3or4
3.Garlic -  3cloves
4.Ginger- 1inch
5.Salt- as needed
6.Pepper - 1tbs
7.Chilli powder- 1tbs
8.Besan flour - 1cup
9.Rice flour- 2tbs
10.Oil- for deep fry

UTENSIL:
Deep bottomed pan

GRIND:
Green chilli
Garlic
Ginger

METHOD OF PREPARATION:
  • Heat oil in a pan add grinded paste fry it for few mins and then add  mashed potato,salt and turmeric powder saute for few minutes.
  • Mean while for the batter in a bowl mix besan flour,rice flour,salt,pepper,red chilli powder with enough water and make a batter little thick and mix it thoroughly using whisk.
  • Make a small balls out of the potato masal and dip in the batter and drop into the oil carefully  keep the flame in medium  and cook  untill they are golden brown .
GOES WELL WITH:
       Any chutney
