INGREDIENTS:
1.Black channa-1cup
2.Onion-1(Chopped)
3.Tomato-1(Chopped)
4.Seasoniong-Mustard,Curry leaves
5.Turmeric powder-1/4tbs
6.Salt as needed
7.Oil
GRIND:
Coconut-4tbs
Green chilli or Red chilli-4-5nos
Garlic-5cloves
Cumin seeds-1tbs
Grind to a smooth paste with little water.
- Soak brown channa overnight and the next day cook it with enough water and drain the water completely and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard and curry leaves,when it splutters add the onion and saute till transparent.
- Now add the tomato and cook till soft by adding enough salt.
- Then add ground masala and mix it well and cook for couple of mins.
- Now add cooked channa and enough water to get the desired consistency and let it cook untill oil comes up.
