Iddiyapam

Iddiyappam is a famous and healthy breakfast from tamilnadu.This is little hard to make but it has a unique taste and yummy .Iddiyappam is eaten with coconut milk with sugar but i like it with kurma.Whenever my MIL visits us she always makes this iddiappam.I always make it out of homemade flour but it is available in the most of the indian grocery which also tastes similar for those who cannot find just roast the rice flour and use it .Here is the receipe so try it out...

INGREDIENTS U NEED:
1.Idiyyapam flour-2cup
2.Salt - as needed
3.Water-as needed

UTENSIL:
Iddiappam press or Murrukku maker(tiny holes)

METHOD OF PREPARATION:
  • In a bowl mix iddiyappam flour with little salt and warm water and mix the dough well
  • Fill the dough into iddiappam press or murruku press 
  • Grease the idly stand with little oil and press the dough into the stand
  • Steam it in the idly cooker for 5-10mins and then let it sit for 5mins to cool down
  • Then unmould the iddiyapam into plate and serve it .

    GOES WELL WITH:
        Tomato kurma
