This onion chutney is just blend with all this ingredients and it is very very simple to make but i love the taste of this yummy chutney. A good tip to reduce the heat (spice) of onion is to soak cut onion in drinking water prior to preparation of the chutney .This chutney really goes good with dosa or idly and also u can apply this chutney on top of masala dosa which gives nice aroma to dosa which is really tasty.
INGREDIENTS U NEED:
1.Onions-1medium(chopped)
2.Tomato-1 medium(chopped)
3.Red capsicum-1medium(chopped)
4.Green chilli-2
5.Ginger-1inch
6.Garlic-2cloves
7.Red chilli-2
8.Salt-as per taste
9.Seasoning -1tbs(mustard,cumin,urad dhal,asafoetida)
10.Oil-2tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
- Fry all the ingredients from 1 to 6 in a little oil till light brown
- Grind it smoothly with the red chilli and salt in a blender without adding water.
- Then temper with mustard,cumin ,curry leaves and asafoetida and mix well together.
